Prison Ministries of OSLC and the
"Moving People from the Correctional Center to Christ the Center."
FEAST is a prison ministry program in which people who are incarcerated are given faith-based support as they reintegrate into society.
How did this program start?
The FEAST program started out as a Bible study at the Community Correctional Center in Lincoln--which led to a few attending worship with a sponsor--which has now become a ministry of worship, meal, and study for as many as 40-50 FEAST partners (inmates) and their families.
What do those involved in FEAST do?
Volunteers include 1)sponsors who travel with or help transport partners to and from worship and offer oversight of the partners during their time at OSLC; 2)small groups from OSLC and local congregations who provide lunch for the partners and their families each Sunday; and/or 3)individuals who lead classes and workshops after lunch, assisting partners in life-skill development, leading Bible studies, and leading music and fellowship.
How can I help?
If you would like to personally become involved with FEAST, or if you would like to make a monetary donation, please contact Alissa Gunning at 402-483-4126.
